Whenever I speak about God’s Grace, I am usually bombarded with comments that “the Grace message is wrong, too strong, the grace message is giving people a license to sin.” People actually get angry when I discuss HIS Grace even when I back it up with scripture that testifies to the extravagant Grace of Our amazing God.
Though none of us is worthy, all who have and live after the resurrection of Jesus Christ are living under this period of Grace.
“For the wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23). Yet we do not have to pay that debt if we BELIEVE & ACCEPT the Grace of God. The gift of God, which is Christ Jesus and the Grace that comes through Him, is eternal life. This life is for here and now, includes an inheritance filled with power and authority, healing, prosperity, forgiveness and freedom. (Rom. 6:23b).God’s love for us has been extended to us by this gift of Grace.
THERE IS POWER IN GRACE
No one is exempt from this debt of sin ( Rom. 5:12 & 14). If, in this life, if we reject this opportunity to receive the benefits of God’s saving Grace, then we have the wrath of God to look forward to in that day. As believers we have escaped HIS wrath and there is NO fear for those who are IN Christ Jesus. The only way to lose our salvation and the benefits of HIS grace is by denying HIM.
God NEVER said, Grace was dangerous!
Grace in mentioned 170 times in the Bible.
Did God send His Son for NOTHING?
“Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” (Gal. 5:4). To seek justification by the Law of Works (the Old Testament Law), once you have been saved by Grace, is to fall from Grace. To fall from Grace is to lose the BENEFITS of Grace, not your salvation and not punishment through sickness and disease or some disaster.
God Sent His SON for everything.
HIS ‘Radical Grace’ is included in the message and the gift of HIS SON?
After receiving prayer one day for healing the Lord clearly spoke to me on my home that day. “You do not even believe that I have forgiven your sins, how will you BELIEVE me for healing?” “But I have committed so many things how can you forgive all those things” God: “THEN I SENT MY SON FOR NOTHING!”
I went home and cried that day as I began a journey to study all God did for us by sending HIS ONE and ONLY SON to die for us.
Definition of GRACE: The New Testament word is Charis. It focuses on the provision of salvation. “Grace may be defined as the unmerited or undeserving favor of God to those who are under condemnation.”It is kindness from God we don’t deserve. There is nothing we have done, nor can ever do to earn this favor. There is nothing we can ever do to be exempt from this favor if we are believers. It is a gift from God. Yet so many teach and believe that GOD is punishing us and teaching us lessons, causing sickness and disease and judging cities for living like the world.
Knowing about God’s Grace and unconditional love will cause us to sin less and our hearts will be so filled that we will desire to do good. God’s Grace does not lead us to sin anymore than when a parent gives you a gift leads that child to sin.
Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
- Forgiveness is a free gift, but grace goes far beyond forgiveness. So many Christians remain powerless and in bondage when this is totally unnecessary because of the free gift, that is, grace.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Ephesians 1:5-9 Having predestinated us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
- Forgiveness, wisdom and direction all come through grace. Grace has power. It is a free gift to believers not something we deserve or earn.
- Grace is God’s unmerited favor. That is, grace is God doing good for us that we do not deserve. Mercy is God withholding judgment or evil that I deserve; grace is God giving me blessing or good that I do not deserve. Because of God’s mercy, I do not receive the judgment of God against my sins; because of God’s grace, I receive eternal life and an amazing Inheritance and a promise of heaven though I do not deserve them. Both mercy and grace come to me though Jesus Christ.
- Grace can also be defined as God’s sufficiency or God’s fullness in the life of the believer.
- 1 Corinthians 15:10 where Paul testified, “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” It was God’s grace that made him what he was. It was God’s goodness working in him that made him the great servant of God he was. We also need the grace of God. We need it first of all for salvation. Without the grace of God, we cannot have eternal life. However, we also need the grace of God for our daily walk with God.
As believers we are NO longer under condemnation; God says: There is now therefore No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
GRACE & FAITH are GIFTS of GOD
