Hebrews 13:6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God tells us to ‘fear not’

So why do so many christians walk in fear and even more….’worry’!

Have you ever had people say to you, “Well if you are not going to worry, someone has to!”

How dumb can you be. Lets see..I believe it is over 130 times in THE WORD that God tells us to not worry or fear.

What a wonderful tool of satan to get us into worry.  Worry is simply NOT believing in the finished work/word of Jesus Christ.  It takes our focus off of Jesus and places the challenge or whatever we are fearing in the center of our thoughts.  I know that I have been there and still visit that place at times. I am not where I used to be, but I’m not where I want to be either.  I am however on my way!

When I find myself fearing something I start spending time in His Word, to feed my believer. His truth always begins to dispel the fear and replaces it with confidence and grace that is found only In Him. How wonderful to find that rest and peace, grace and love in the pages of His Word. My unbelief can be countered and overcome with the TRUTH of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST.

“By His stripes I am healed”  1 Peter 2:24

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper”  Isaiah 54:17

Fear has no power over me! Dt. 31:6  I am forever changed by the power of the Word of God.
